Laurie Locke
received her Bachelor's Degree
from Midwestern State University
in Wichita Falls, Texas. She
also earned a Master's Degree in
Education from the University of
Oklahoma and a Reading
Certification from UCO. She has
been teaching for over 14 years
with experience in kindergarten,
2nd grade, English as a Second
Language and reading. She has
taught in the Mustang School
District for eight years as a
Reading Specialist. She was
honored as
the 2005-2006 Mustang Elementary
Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Locke
and
her husband live in Bethany and
after 25 years in the Air Force
and living
in many places, they returned to
Oklahoma to be near family. They
have
two beautiful daughters and have
recently welcomed a new
grandson.
Laurie enjoys scrap-booking,
family history and reading (of
