Patti Sturdy earned a degree in Music Education from the University of
Central Oklahoma.  She is currently working towards a Masters Degree
in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.
She taught in Oklahoma City Public Schools for 4 years and in Putnam
City Public Schools for 16 years.  After joining the faculty at Centennial
Elementary, Mrs. Sturdy was named  the 2007-2008 "Teacher of the
Year."  She also has 6 years experience as the owner of a GYMBOREE
play and movement  program.  She has been married to her husband
Jim for 30 years.  They have two wonderful daughters, Jennifer and
Lindsey, who both are in college. Patti enjoys music in any form, reading, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys
teaching at Centennial, where the universal language of music is an
integral and fun part of learning!
