Mustang Public Schools is working with our local and state health partners as we closely monitor the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Superintendent Bradley has been working in daily partnership with local, state, & federal health/education leaders to assess and respond to new information. Having a seat at the table ensures our voices are heard and included in decisions that impact all of us.
We have been following the guidance of the Oklahoma Department of Health (ODH) and the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) while implementing preventive and responsive strategies, but in light of Governor Stitt’s March 16 request that all citizens practice measures to slow the spread of COVID-19, it is time for the district to act swiftly. Starting March 25, 2020 all public schools in the State of Oklahoma are closed through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. All school building activities including school day instruction, child care, health services, enrichment, athletics and club sports, preschool etc. are cancelled.
